Wansapanataym (lit. Once Upon A Time) is a Philippine fantasy-drama anthology produced and aired by ABS-CBN. The series aired in 1997 until 2005 and it was re-aired in 2006 until 2007. On September 11, 2010, the series will air again on ABS-CBN's weekend primetime block with new episodes, and remakes of past episodes.

Cassandra: Warrior Angel is a Filipino horror fantasy series under TV5 Network. It premiered on May 06, 2013 on TV5 prime time slot, replacing Kidlat starring Gabby Concepcion, Eula Valdez and Eula Caballero. It will serve as the second season of Third Eye. Directed by Eric Quizon, Argel Joseph and Benedict Mique.

Juan dela Cruz (English: John of the Cross) is a Philippine television drama. Directed by Malu Sevilla, it stars Coco Martin as Juan dela Cruz, a half-tagapagbantay and half-aswang who falls in love with Rosario (Erich Gonzales) an aswang-hunter.

Synopsis

The drama explores themes in Christianity, culture and Philippine mythology such as aswang (fearsome, vampire-like shape-shifters), and tagapagbantay, the Philippine version of guardian angels (similar to their depiction in the drama, 100 Days to Heaven) or as the theme implies a version of Vampire Hunter lineage against Aswangs. The protagonist's name is derived from the Philippine national personification.

Enchanted Garden is a Philippine fantasy-drama TV series aired on TV5.

Plot

Enchanted Garden is set against the entrancing garden world of Eden, parallel to the land of mortals where Queen Jasmina and her daughters Alvera, Valeriana and Quassia live. Alvera, Valerianna and Quassia are diwanis — the appointed guardians of all plants and trees. Jealousy separates the sisters as Valerianna discovers Menandro’s love for her sister Alvera. Menandro and Alvera’s love brings forth a child, Aya, who grows up in the mortal world.

Dyosa

Dyosa (lit. Goddess) is a fantasy series (fantaserye) that is aired in Philippines by broadcaster ABS-CBN and starred by Anne Curtis, Sam Milby, Zanjoe Marudo and Luis Manzano and was directed by Wenn Deramas.

Synopsis

Dyosa tells the story of Josephine who grew up unaware of her true identity as the " Takda" (Chosen One) and how she learns of her lineage and destiny in the world of gods and goddesses. The Takda who hails from the Kabanua is chosen to save humankind from the imbalance brought about by the evil forces of Kasamyans. Josephine lives in the world of mortals where she meets a comic illustrator, Mars (Zanjoe Marudo) from Makiling Publishing who draws the fate of the Dyosa with the powers from sky, earth, and water - Cielo, Tierra, Agua. Unknown to Mars, Josephine is the same as Dyosa whom he has fallen for in the form of Dyosa Cielo. Cielo is torn between her love for the mortal life - the mortal, Mars - and her duty as Takda.

Kokak or The Frog Princess (International title) is a Fantasy/Romance TV series of GMA Network starring Sarah Lahbati in the title role, with TJ Trinidad and JC Tiuseco as her leading men. Kokak is based on a popular comics serial with the same title, originally created by Ruben Marcelino and published in Darna Komiks.

Synopsis

The story begins with the love of Renato and Angela. Although they are about to have their baby, Renato's ex-girlfriend, Vicky, can't accept the fact that she has lost the man she loves to someone else. Thus, she commits suicide.

Veronica and Carlito, Vicky's mother and brother, are devastated by her unexpected death. Thus, when she discovers the reason behind Vicky's suicide, Veronica decides to seek revenge for her daughter. Coming from a family of witches, Veronica curses Renato and makes him lose his sanity. She also uses a hex on the pregnant Angela and leaves her in a pond full of frogs.

Grazilda was a Filipino fantasy series based on Drizella, the stepsister of Cinderella. It premiered on GMA Network on September 13, 2010 and on GMA Pinoy TV on September 15, 2010. The series featured an alternative history of La petite Pantoufle de Verre (The Little Glass Slipper) in the point of view of Cinderella's stepsister, Grazilda (Glaiza de Castro). The final episode of the show aired on January 7, 2011.

Synopsis

The story opens from a fairy tale land called Fantasia where the audience is introduced to the backstory of the family of Grazilda. Grazilda's mother, Matilda (Rio Locsin), falls in love with a man named Fernando (Joel Torre) who comes from the mortal world. The two elope and have two daughters, Fernanda and Anatalia. Fernando promises not to leave Matilda for the mortal world and past love, Veronne (Cherie Gil). This all changes however when the Fairy Godmother (Jolina Magdangal) banishes Fernando to the mortal world as this disrupted the peace in Fantasia.

Grazilda

Encantadia is a Filipino fantasy television series (locally known as telefantasya) produced by GMA Network. The pilot episode was aired on May 2, 2005. Its last episode was aired on December 9 of the same year to give way to its second book, Etheria. This series aired its pilot episode on December 12, and its last episode on February 18, 2006. The third and latest installment of the Encantadia saga, Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas, aired its pilot on February 20, 2006, but it was apparently not a last installment. There will be a fourth installment of the Encantadia saga, Encantadia: Isang Bagong Mundo, originally in October 2010 but pushed back to 2nd Quarter 2011 and now even pushed back for a January 2012 airing due to several reasons, both with the cast and with preparations. It is rumored that this show will replace the epic-serye since at the time of January 2012, Amaya would have already ended, this is still unknown.

Majika ("Magic") is a Filipino fantasy-themed television series about wizards, known as Salamangka, that inhabit the world of Saladin, where magic is the way of life. The series was produced by GMA Network. It first aired on March 20, 2006 and officially ended on September 29, 2006. The cast was led by Dennis Trillo as Argo & Angel Locsin as Sabina. The series was successfully aired worldwide, with a three-week delay on GMA Pinoy TV.

Synopsis

Majika tells the story of Sabina, a seemingly ordinary girl who lived in the world of mortals but is unknowingly the one destined to become Saladin’s most powerful female Salamangka.

Blusang Itim (lit. Black Blouse) is a Philippine drama produced by GMA Network starring Kylie Padilla, Frank Magalona and Carl Guevarra. It is a TV remake of the 1986 film starring Snooky Serna, which was based on the comic of Elena Patron.

Plot

The story revolves around Jessa, an ugly woman who wants to be accepted by people despite her appearance. She also hopes to be loved by a man wholeheartedly despite her looks. These seems to be possible for Jessa when she wears the mysterious black blouse. The black blouse as the mystical garment has the power to make the wearer beautiful and sexually attractive to men.

Kamandag

Kamandag or Venom (International title) is a fantasy Philippine drama that aired on GMA Network from November 19, 2007 to April 25, 2008. Based from the graphic novel of Carlo J. Caparas, it starred Richard Gutierrez.

Origin

Based on the 1980s graphic novels of novelist Carlo J. Caparas, Kamandag is a half-snake and half-human creature with has the same temper as the Hulk. The character is known to be an anti-hero.

Synopsis

Kamandag is a story about a creature that is half snake and half human. Kamandag begins deep down in a cave called the Ambograw, a place where different sorts of half human and half creature beings called Ambogs live.

ilumina (TV series)

Ilumina is a fantasy-themed Philippine drama series about witchcraft, demonic possession,and sorcery directed by Mark A. Reyes and distributed by GMA Network. It premiered on August 2, 2010.

Synopsis

Long time ago there was a war between the sorcerers and sorceresses as they contest who among them was the strongest. Elizaria (Sam Pinto) came, defeated them all, and she became the most powerful sorceress, bringing peace to their world. Then came a prophecy that there would be another war. Elizaria knew this and she created the Ilumina or "Ang Aklat Ng Salamangka" (The Sorcerer's Book), containing all the secrets she knew and every power she had. The sorcerers cannot settle among themselves over who would keep the Ilumina and so they fought for it. The second war began and divided the sorcerers into two factions, Black and White. The Black sorcerers first acquired the Ilumina, becoming the most powerful, until Elena (Rochelle Pangilinan), Sasha (Cara Eriguel) and the other white sorcerers took back the book. The war continued on long after that, becoming more deadly over the years.

Alakdana is an original fantasy-suspense drama series produce by GMA Network. It is topbilled by tween star Louise delos Reyes as Adana. Her leading men for this project are Paulo Avelino, Richie Paul Gutierrez and newcomer Alden Richards. Members of its cast include Jean Garcia, Matthew Mendoza, Jobelle Salvador, Jhoana Marie Tan, Perla Bautista, Racquel Montesa, and Ian de Leon and by directed by Mac Alejandre.

Plot

The story centers on a girl named Adana. Adana is plagued with a scorpion tail. Thus, making her life very uneasy and woeful. Despite of the plague, Adana grows up to be a kind-hearted, down to earth and God-fearing child. Adana, with a fear of having her big secret revealed, will be hiding her identity as a girl born with an unusual scorpion tail.
